Celebrating Excellence in Education

On 9 November 2025, the EMPTA honoured 219 exceptional students who demonstrated remarkable dedication and academic excellence at the EMPTA Academic Awards 2025 presentation ceremony.

Highlights of the event:
– 219 Students out of the 248 meeting our rigorous criteria.

– Generous support from member companies raised RM63,100, making this event possible.

– Congratulations to all awardees—your hard work inspires the entire EMPTA community. Together, we celebrate your achievements and look forward to your bright futures!

The EMPTA Academic Awards are open to children of employees and employers of member companies, recognizing their hard work, dedication, and pursuit of excellence in their studies.

Alongside the awards presentation, teacher Chow Siew Cheun was invited to give an education talk themed “How to deal with bully?”

Upon invitation, EMPTA Chairman Kau Peng Yap joined Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur’s Chargé d’affaires Piyapin Niyomrerks, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial) Worawan Wanwil, Counsellor (Commercial) Chaiyut Boonkong as well as other dignitaries and guests at a reception in Kuala Lumpur hosted by the embassy on 5 December 2022 to celebrate the National Day of Thailand.

More than a hundred students with outstanding academic results received the EMPTA Academic Awards 2022 on 27 November 2022. In his speech during the awards presentation ceremony, EMPTA Chairman Kau Peng Yap said the event is a recognition to students who have endeavoured for their achievement and part of EMPTA’s social responsibility.

More than a hundred students with outstanding academic results received the EMPTA Academic Awards 2022 on 27 September 2022. In his speech during the awards presentation ceremony, EMPTA chairman Kau Peng Yap said the event is a recognition to students who have endeavoured for their achievement and part of EMPTA’s social responsibility.

“The academic awards event is a manifestation of EMPTA’s commitment to corporation social responsibility. By having this event, we hope to accord due recognition to students who have made their efforts in studies, at the same time to encourage to keep up their efforts and upgrade themselves in the learning path,” said Kau.

An educational on the post-pandemic new norms of learning was held alongside the academic award presentation.
