Selangor and Federal Territory Engineering and Motor Parts Traders’ Association (EMPTA) had a workshop with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) on 26 July 2022 to discuss matters related to Customs (Prohibition of Imports) (Amendment) Order 2022. The workshop was a result of the earlier meeting between EMPTA, JPJ and the Transport Minister; it aimed to ensure smooth process in the importation of automotive parts affected by the new rule while not compromising safety standards of the imported goods. During the workshop, EMPTA and JPJ also discussed the digitalization road map of automotive replacement parts industry.
