Schaeffler Visits EMPTA for Industry Engagement

On 04 July 2025, EMPTA had the privilege of hosting representatives from Schaeffler, a global leader in automotive components, for a focused discussion on the evolving landscape of engine oil certification.

The key agenda of the meeting centered on the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Engine Oil for Motor Vehicle) Order 2024, a regulation that introduces new challenges and compliance requirements for industry players.

During the session, both parties exchanged insights on:

• Operational and logistical hurdles

• Impacts on manufacturers, distributors, and retailers

EMPTA reaffirmed its commitment to voicing members’ concerns and pledged to work collaboratively with relevant authorities and stakeholders to seek practical and sustainable solutions for the industry.
