Engagement with Transport Ministry on industry matters

On 12 February 2026, EMPTA committee members met with Ong Ooi Heng, Special Officer to the Transport Minister to discuss several issues and challenges confronting the automotive parts industry.

During the meeting, EMPTA highlighted key concerns affecting the aftermarket sector and shared industry feedback aimed at supporting a more sustainable and competitive automotive ecosystem. The session also provided an opportunity to exchange views on current developments and regulatory matters related to the transport sector.

EMPTA appreciates the openness and constructive dialogue, and remains committed to engaging with the Ministry of Transport and relevant stakeholders to ensure that industry perspectives are effectively conveyed in policy discussions.
