


EMPTA meets CAMRA
EMPTA had a fruitful networking session with a delegation from the China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Trade Association (CAMRA) on 14 May 2026.
The session provided an excellent platform for both sides to exchange views and information on automotive aftermarket developments and trends, and potential areas of cooperation between Malaysia and China. It provided a valuable opportunity for leaders from both organizations to establish direct contact, introduce their respective associations, and build meaningful professional rapport.
While the session was primarily introductory, it sparked an engaging dialogue regarding the current state and future direction of the automotive aftermarket, both sides shared observations on the trends shaping the industry in Malaysia and China, including:
Market Dynamics: An overview of the current business environment, challenges, and growth opportunities for motor parts traders and repair professionals in both nations.
Technological Shift: Casual insights into how both markets are adapting to broader industry advancements, such as the gradual rise of electric vehicles and smart automotive technologies.
