EMPTA at NRES Engagement Session

EMPTA is honored to be invited by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) to participate in the Engagement Session: Safer Road Use for People and Wildlife along the East-West Highway.
As the voice of the automotive aftermarket industry, EMPTA has provided perspectives and industrial input in support of:

✅ Raising awareness on road safety incidents
✅ Reducing wildlife-related road accidents
✅ Strengthening collaboration between government, industry, and society
We believe that multi-stakeholder cooperation is the key to building roads that are safer, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly for future generations. 🌏✨
To help reduce road incidents, especially those involving human and animals, we would like to remind drivers traveling from the Klang Valley to other parts of Peninsular Malaysia to:

1️⃣ Look out for wildlife hotspot and livestock crossing signs.
2️⃣ Avoid feeding wild animals by the roadside, as this encourages them to approach highways and expressways.
3️⃣ Drive slowly at night, especially during foggy hours.
4️⃣ Be extra cautious along the Gerik–Jeli Highway, which records some of the highest animal-related roadkill cases in Malaysia.
Roadkill incidents remain high in Malaysia. EMPTA is committed to helping save human lives while also protecting wildlife by spreading greater road safety awareness.
