EMPTA welcomes delegation from Fujian

EMPTA had the pleasure of receiving a visit from the Fujian Construction Machinery Industry Association on 9 April 2026.
The visit provided a valuable platform for both sides to exchange insights on industry developments, explore potential areas of collaboration,.

Charity luncheon for shared festivity

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, EMPTA hosted a charity luncheon on 1
March 2026, bringing together more than 500 attendees in a meaningful celebration
of compassion and community spirit.

The event welcomed invited guests from 21 welfare homes and charitable
organizations, including old folks’ homes, orphanages, various care centres and
disabled persons empowerment groups. It was a joyous afternoon filled with festive
cheer, warm fellowship, and shared blessings in conjunction with the festive
celebration.

In line with EMPTA’s commitment to social responsibility, the luncheon provided an
opportunity for members of the automotive parts and complements industry to give
back to the community and spread happiness to those in need.

EMPTA extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating members, donors and
attendees who made this meaningful event possible.

Engagement with Transport Ministry on industry matters

On 12 February 2026, EMPTA committee members met with Ong Ooi Heng, Special Officer to the Transport Minister to discuss several issues and challenges confronting the automotive parts industry.

During the meeting, EMPTA highlighted key concerns affecting the aftermarket sector and shared industry feedback aimed at supporting a more sustainable and competitive automotive ecosystem. The session also provided an opportunity to exchange views on current developments and regulatory matters related to the transport sector.

EMPTA appreciates the openness and constructive dialogue, and remains committed to engaging with the Ministry of Transport and relevant stakeholders to ensure that industry perspectives are effectively conveyed in policy discussions.

Giving back through sport – EMPTA Charity Golf 2026

EMPTA successfully held its charity golf tournament at on 6 February 2026, bringing together 98 participants from the automotive industry, partner associations, and friends for a meaningful day of camaraderie and giving back.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and participants, EMPTA was proud to present a donation of RM10,000 each to the Malaysian Wheelchair Basketball Federation and the Malaysian Deaf Sports Association during the tournament dinner.

As highlighted by EMPTA Chairman Kau Peng Yap, the event was more than just a golfing event — it reflects EMPTA’s belief that while we work towards growing our businesses and advancing the industry, we also carry a shared responsibility to give back to society in a meaningful way.

Engagement with parliamentary select committee chairman

EMPTA committee members paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Parliamentary Special Select Committee on Domestic Trade, Entrepreneurship, Cost of Living and Agriculture, YB Cha Kee Chin on 28 January 2026..

During the meeting, EMPTA highlighted some key issues and challenges affecting the automotive parts industry, while YB Cha shared insights on the government’s policy-making.

The engagement provided a valuable opportunity for constructive dialogue between industry representatives and policymakers, aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and exploring ways to support sustainable industry growth.

EMPTA will continue to engage proactively with members of parliament and relevant authorities to ensure that the concerns and perspectives of the automotive parts industry are effectively represented at the national level.
