


EMPTA and counterparts engage MITI
Selangor and Federal Territory Engineering and Motor Parts Traders’ Association (EMPTA) and other member associations in the Malaysia Automotive Alliance Group (MAAG) met the Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry YB Sim Tze Tzin on 28 April 2026 and submitted the MAAG’s joint proposals.
During the meeting, MAAG presented several joint proposals aimed at strengthening the competitiveness, resilience, and long-term development of Malaysia’s automotive industry.
The discussion covered key issues affecting various segments of the automotive ecosystem, including measures to enhance industry growth, facilitate trade, and support a more conducive business environment.
The engagement provided a valuable platform for constructive dialogue between industry stakeholders and policymakers. EMPTA remains committed to advocate for policies that benefit the automotive parts and complements aftermarket, as well as the broader automotive industry.
